3rd Trimester

Morning sickness really..now??

Hi ladies:

Wanted to know if anyone has felt like how I'm feeling. This happened to me a few weeks ago,

Yesterday I had breakfast and felt full but I had to eat lunch so I had a small lunch well around 9pm I still didn't feel hungry so I had a bowl of cereal and a small plate of macroni salad. Well after that I felt queasey and threw up my life.

So last night I felt sweaty and queasy the rest of the night. :o( Called in this morning from work because I still feel queasey. Had toast and a yogurt this morning and now I just had soup. Which I feel like puking.

Did not have morning sickness before. Can this be morning sickness? Or I also read it can be the baby is growing and my organs are shifting around. Going back to taking a nap hopefully I feel beter. :o/ DH just got me gingerale.

  • It absolutely could be morning sickness. Or it could be something you ate.

I've had more nausea and thrown up a lot more in my 3rd tri than I did in my 1st.

  • could be either. some people get morning sickness in the third trimester and for me its the baby moving all my crap around lol. I have had a few sick days but more "no room" throwing up.

  • I've been getting nauseous pretty regularly the last couple weeks. I'm back to my 1st trimester diet.  I miss whole wheat pancakes for breakfast, but oatmeal stays down much better!

  • Hope you get to feeling better soon.  =0)

I have been having the nauseous/throw up feeling on and off for about a week too.  My doctor told me, it could be morning sickness all over again and to eat smaller meals throughout the day, so I don't ever feel really hungry.  She also said it could be a shift in hormones since Baby can come any day now (I'm 39 weeks), or it could be that as Baby drops lower and lower, he/she is pushing everything inside higher and higher, which makes our digestive system work differently from how it usually is.   HTH.

  • I totally got morning sickness (again, I had it for the first 5 months as well) starting around week 28.  I am now 36 weeks and threw up this morning.  It feels so random, doesn't it??  Plus it hurts to throw up THIS pregnant. :(

  • I haven't had much sickness throughout my entire pregnancy but I feel it the most now. It comes on really quickly and mostly after I eat too much, which is pretty easy to do lately. I've found that eating small portions throughout the day really helps with the nausea. The only problem with that is I feel a bit more tired because I may not be getting enough energy so I just haven't been quite as active. Hope you feel better!

  • My morning sickness is starting to come back again. I was diagnosed with Hypermesis at 8 weeks and finally around 25 weeks I stopped throwing up constantly. The nausea has never left though. I haven't started throwing up again, but I I have been dry heaving a bit. Some people say they get morning sickness worse in the 3rd tri. I found eating small amounts every few hours helps keep my stomach settled.
