Tile and tub cleaning 101?

Just had my bathroom renovated and I'm determined to keep it clean. My last one got so mildewy and nasty (it wasnt great when I moved in....thats my disclaimer). Any tips to keep everything clean? I'm always rushed cleaning with 2 toddlers here. Thanks

  • I'm looking for the same advice..

  • Put a squeegee in the shower and pull the water off the walls. Also make a point of cleaning the shower once a week.

  • I have one of those scrubbing bubbles shower things (sprays when you're done) to keep it fresh between nukings. I like kaboom for my hard water.

  • I use the scrubbing bubbles spray and scrub with a sponge, and also have this Method cleaning spray (no scrubbing needed) that I spray after each shower. I use a toothbrush in the grout of the shower once a month but it is really time consuming.

    Hope that helps!

I have 2 ways of cleaning the tub & shower walls really good.  1st, spray soap scum remover on the shower walls & let it run down & soak in.  Then I go over it with a sponge and wipe it down really well.  I do this weekly so there really isn't much hard scrubbing involved. 2nd, wet the shower walls & tub down & get something like Comet & a sponge & go for it!  Scrub side to side & up and down actually getting in the tub to scrub the shower walls.  Then step out & scrub the tub area.  Rinse the entire thing really well.  If you do either of these (one or the other) weekly there should be no issue with mold.
