Boob lumps?

I noticed a small knot in the side of my boob while I was in the shower.  It's kind of sore and tender.  I don't know if it's a milk duct or a cyst.  I'm a little nervous because the last time a lump was found in my boob, I had to go to the hospital the next day and have it taken out.  I'm going to the dr. next week, so I'll mention it then if it's still there.  Meanwhile, has anyone else had this?

I had a cyst on my right breast when I was about 39 weeks pregnant with DS.  I called the office the next day because it was starting to hurt and they had me come in so it could be drained.  Do you have a nurses' line you could call?

if its sore and tender I would call the DR now.  If it were a blocked milk duct it can be infected and cause issues later on with BF.  If its nothing then at least you don't have to be worried about it for a week

Thanks y'all, I'll call.  I've never done this before and I don't really know what's normal, and what's not.  I didn't want to bug the dr. for no reason.
