Day 4 of Stims

Hi Ladies,

Today is day 4 of my stims, so far so good. The u/s this morning was great and they just called with the results of my bloodwork. My e2 is already 492! So they are decreasing my Menopur dosage from 150 to 75, and adding Ganirelix tonight. I'm also on 150 Follistim. I heard Ganirelix burns, so I'm not looking forward to that bc I find the Menopur & Follistim burn already. They also said I can mix everything together so I have only one injection.

Many ladies here offered a lot of advice when I was doing my injections. 

- Let them get to room temp for 20-30 minutes before the shot. 

- Get the needle in quick, but some don't burn as much if you take it slower.  

I don't have experience with your specific medications, but I did find making a chart to visualize how far I had come really helped. It sounds like something for a 3rd grader, but it's no small feat. Do something fun to celebrate, like a date night once it's over!

I just wanted to say good luck! The antagonist can burn and cause a skin reaction, but the good news is that adding in the antagonist means you are one step closer to retrieval:)

Ganirelix never burned for me so maybe you will get lucky. GL! Your numbers sound great.

Thanks, i'm really excited and trying to stay positive about everything (i tend to microanalyze everything).

As far as rewarding myself after the shots, I hit up my hershey's dark chocolate kisses bowl every night :-)

I didn't think Ganirelix burned all that bad!  But every body is different!
