Hi girls! I'm Ashley, my husband is Michael, and we just found out we're expecting. We were married in Cincinnati in Sept 2008 and live in Dayton. I was on the Cincy knot boards in 2008, planning the wedding

Any Dayton girls here?

I have an OB/GYN, but I would like to switch -- any recommendations for a great OB or hospital in which to deliver?

Welcome to the board Ashley and congrats on your LO on the way! I know I have seen you around before (I recognize your picture).

Unfortunately I don't have any hospital/OB recommendations for the Dayton area, as we live in Cincinnati. I hope someone is able to help you out with suggestions.

It's quiet around here these days because a private board was created on Facebook. If I'm thinking correctly, does your last name begin with a B?

Hi Emily! Yes, my last name does begin with a B. I'm actually friends with you on FB. Congratulations to you on the impending arrival of your LO!

We did kind of migrate to a private FB page...but there are talks of switching back over due to the weirdness in format on FB.

In any case, congrats on your pregnancy!!  We do have some Dayton ladies on the board so hopefully one will chime in with recomendations.

Also, you could page cat81305 and ask her to add you to the private group.

Welcome and congrats!  I delivered at MVH and had a fantastic experience.  They also have a natural birthing unit attached to the hospital if you are at all interested in going drug-free/natural birth in a separate environment for that (Family Beginnings).  I see Horlacher and Associates at MVH and LOVE them.  They came highly recommended to me and I switched mid-pregnancy, couldn't be happier with my decision.  H&H 9 months!

Hi, Ashley! I'm a fellow Daytonian. Sorry to hear about your Facebook glitch. Nothing like having random people getting into your business the minute after you're pregnant. If it helps, we actually have at least person in that group who isn't a mom. If you are able to come back into the group, there are a ton of great discussions and this board has gotten pretty quiet lately since the FB group gives us more privacy.

We have lived in Dayton for the past ten year and love it here. We're in Springboro and my OB is Dr. Pawlosky. I switched OBs after a few girls on here recommended him and I really, really like him and the practice. He is affiliated with KHN so whenever I have another baby, I can deliver at either Kettering or at the Southview maternity branch. I had DD at Miami Valley and had no real complaints, but I am glad I switched because I am much closer to Southview now. I did not like my previous OB practice and do NOT recommend them at all-- Dayton OBGYN. The physicians are okay but the wait times were ridiculous and I felt that they were just serving huge amounts of patients-- there was no "personal touch."

Congrats again. We have a nice group of Dayton moms on here and we do get together occasionally. I'll post if we have any get-togethers soon!
