Freezing milk question

I read on a couple websites that you can store milk for 2 weeks in a freezer, or 3-5 months in a deep freezer. Is this right? I was planning on stocking up in our freezer, but can't if it only lasts two weeks. In a fridge/freezer, can it still last up to 5 months?

Re: Freezing milk question

  • No, that's completely off. It's more like 1 week in a fridge, 3 months in a regular freezer, and 6 months-1 year in a deep freezer.

It's good for 3-6 months in the freezer! It can't be one of those old freezers though where its not seprate from the fridge. Where you only open one door to get to both, idk if anyone even has those anymore. That's when it's only good for 2 weeks.

Ditto this. You can go a year in the deep freeze if it's vacuum sealed. I have a how to on this in my blog. Link in siggy.
