We don't have much extra room in our small apartment, so both is not really an option. I know the only real difference is that one you have to move manually (in most cases anyway
and the swing moves on its own. I know a lot of Mommys say they prefer the bouncer because they don't want baby to get used to being rocked to sleep, but I plan on having a glider for feeding/sleeping/bonding so the rocking is not a negative for me.
Just wanted to know what your LO preferred, and which one you'd recommend!
Re: Which would you recommend: Baby bouncer or swing?
WOW! Never would have thought of that for some reason but I LOVE it! What a fabulous idea, and it definitely looks like it's a functional size! I really like it, thanks so much!
I would argue that this is the perfect solution because I honestly can't decide which one I'd rather have. DD loved her swing for the first few months, and then after a while she preferred her bouncer. The swing was great at first because it was a lifesaver when we were having a hard time getting her to sleep. The bouncer was great because it was portable. I think the Fisher Price suggestion is perfect!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,and He shall direct your paths.

the part where they sit detaches and can stand alone. It also vibrates.
My child hated the swing but loved the bouncer. He slept in the boucer every nap and every night for the first 8 weeks of life.
but every kid is different. If you can't do both, I would look for a 2 in 1 combo.

Wow and you can pick it up and put it on the table. Looks like its portable too. Hmm almost makes me want to sell my swing and get that!
That thing scares me... I'm sure its safe but the way its built just looks like it can't hold anything.
It probably wouldn't have 4/5 stars and 165 reviews if it was unsafe and didn't hold anything.

Pretty much they are the same. But if your talking about an infant I'll prefer a bouncer. A swing I'll wait till 7-8months. Plus a bouncer is much more smaller anyways.
The Mamaroo swing is nice and compact and not jerky like some of the other swings. I just got one, but the baby isn't here yet, so I don't know how well she'll like it yet.

Here is another that does both.
I thought I'd decided what to get then I read an article that said to hold off until you could borrow one to make sure your baby wasn't one who screamed every time you try to set them in a swing or bouncer!
Thanks for the tip!!
I REALLY want the mamaroo, DH and I saw them in Scottsdale and I love it twice as much, we will see what our budget allows between now and when LO arrives.
I put this one on my registry. Swing & bouncy combo. I thought it was awesome! Saves you room and it's practically!! 2 in 1!!! (:
