bowel movement frequency

My baby is two months old, and still having about 4 or so bowel movements a day. I thought that ebf babies will start going days, even weeks, between bowel movements. Is it still too early for that? How did your babies transition to less frequent bowel movements?

Mine didn't start slowing in frequency until probably 10 or 12 weeks.

I think around 3 months L went to once a day predictably, but skipped a week randomly here and there.  Right now she has been skipping weeks at a time!  2 weeks until today was the last stretch.  One week before that. 2 days before that...We also started solids, but that's another story.

Also, just FYI my LO has never gone longer than 3 days without and at 5 months he's a pretty regular "every other day" now

My LO still goes 4+ times a day at 5 months. Even starting cereal hasn't changed this.
