1st annaversary 5 days after dd

what can I plan for my Man? I know I wont be feeling that good and we will have a brand new baby to take all our attention (hopefully she wont be that late)  And I cant think of any good ideas since we dont have allot of $ now and considering the baby.. I want to make our first annaversary memorable...

 Please ANY IDEAS OR EXPRIRIENCES WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!

Well, for all you know, it could be VERY special...you could be sharing your anniversary with DD's birthday! Seriously, there isn' tmuch you can do b/c you don't knwo whether you will have a baby or be in the hospital...or still be sitting around waiting for the baby to arrive.  I would just play it by ear. Get a special gift and be sure to pack it in your hospital bag.  Have a plan for dinner (takout?) but nothing so solid that you can't change the plan to include hospital food, if need be. 

Honestly, it is right around the time of the arrival of your baby...THAT in itself should make it really special and memorable.

Why doesn't he plan something? I mean you are either going to be either recovering or possibly in delivery, why should you have all the responsibity of planning your first anniversary? I'm not trying to sound rude I promise. We didn't have any money on our 1st, we went to lunch the day before just so we could get out of the house. He planned that. Take out sounds like a good plan to me and enjoying your new baby No dishes!

We don't really do anniversary gifts. But, the first year's traditional gift is paper. Would he like a book or maybe a magazine subscription? One thing we always do.. we have been married 4 years.. is eat Italian food on our anniversary bc that is the kind of food we had at our wedding. So that is our tradition.

There is not much you can plan because you don't know when LO will arrive. You got to see how it is day by day..or minute by minute. If you want buy him something and keep it in the house but I don't see a reason to buy a gift when the best gift ever will be born around that time. This year for our 2nd anniversary instead of buying a gift for each other we used that money towards the 3d/4d ultrasound.

Just an idea- maybe you can book a session with a photographer for the month after and have pictures taken as a family. That is something that will always be remembered. I am actually going to mention this idea to DH tonight and maybe we can do this as our Christmas gift to each other.

 

THe picture thing is a realygood Idea, and something I can set up for later... Thanks

well I guess he might be planning something and not telling me... Im just that kind of person I always wanna make a special deal for things like that,,, But your probably right about jusst enjoying the new baby... thanks

Try take in. There are a ton of restaurants that you can call in and pick up. Add some candles and you should be set.

Make him a home made card. I am also the kind of person who plans special things for my man. First anniversary is paper so it will be perfect. If you end up in hospital pack it in your bag so you will have it with you to give him. It will be heartfelt and he will really notice that you didn't forget about making him feel special in this crazy time. And it's really inexpensive. I can be pretty nerdy using my markers and stickers or cut pictures out or sometimes print stuff out from computer..... Anything you make for him he will love.

My Due Date is the same as my dh and my anniversary!  But we have to have a c-section so I will be having LO 4 days before but then we will be discharged either the day before or the day of our anniversary...

Do not know what to do with our anniversary either

my due date is our 1st anniversary. i find it a bit amusing but it would suck if i did have her on our anniversary, that would have to be put on hold for her birthday. it would be worth it though. but to make your anniversary special try to go to oyur fav restraunt. or visit the place where he proposed to you. sit at home and rent a movie you both love or want to see and just cuddle.
