Blood and protein in urine?

Hi everyone! I was just wonder if anyone has had both blood and protein in their urine at the same time. Was there anything that the doctor said can be done about this? Or what would even cause this? Thanks!

I've only had protein, not blood.  I assume you discovered this at your Drs office? what did they tell you?

Yeah, I went there to discuss the swelling I'm having and they found the protein and blood. He said that it could be an infection but that's it. So they're sending away a sample of my urine to check for an infection.

well, hopefully the figure it out soon, good luck!  i have protein in my urine all the time , it can lead to pre-eclampsia but not always.

Happened in my first pregnancy when I made an appointment at about 35-36 weeks because I was having SEVERE pain and convinced I had my second kidney stone and kidney infection.  That's what caused the blood/protein for me.  Have you had any pain similar to UTI or anything?

No, I haven't. So I have no idea what this could be.

I went to the doctor today. They said they found protien in my urine. && my doc said its either a urinery track effection or other reasons they are trying to find out. But they are doing testing on my urine and if it comes back POSITIVE ill have to do a 24-hour pee all day and bring it back to them the next day that way they can look more into it. So im waiting for my results.

last time i was spilling blood and protein in my urine i was written a Rx for a UTI. blood & protein sounds like a UTI to me. Why did you ask all your questions while you were there? i would call them up on the phone.

I did ask but you know how some doctors are "well we won't know until we get the results back. So just relax." I can't stand it when they do that! I'm going to call today and see if they got the results of the cultures back but I doubt i'll hear anything until Monday
