Why do people have to say "You have so much time to go!"

I am training my replacement for maternity leave this week.  So that means working off site so she can shadow my work and she can do it at the end of the week with me shadowing her.

 So I get here and everyone is asking how I am feeling.  I say good, but ready for her to be here and done being pregnant.  The person covering for me asks how many weeks left...I say about 7.  She proceeds to tell me that I am just in for it these last weeks if I am already ready to be done..blah blah blah.

 I tell her I would rather look at it as almost 33 weeks done and 7 to go...which makes it sound not so daunting.

 I just don't get why people need to tell you how bad it will be!

Because they like to remind us how much bigger we are most likly going to get and how much time there is left for us to become VERY uncomfortable!

Yeah...I'm sick of people telling me that I won't make it to my due date...I really don't think that I'm that huge!!!

People are annoying like that.  I've heard the same stuff since like 25 weeks, but I'll just say that at 37 weeks I'm still pretty comfortable.  I'm sure I'll get to a point where it'll be harder, but even with some aches and pains things are totally manageable.

Yeah, I told someone a couple weeks ago that I was due at the end of Nov. and they said "oh, you have a ways to go". WTF, if I was only 6 weeks along I could understand them saying that, but c'mon. A little over a month is pretty dang soon!
