Stupid carseat mirror!!

We bought our carseat mirror and installed it correctly but have to tilt it down to get a good view of the baby.  It stays in place for a little while but then creeps back to its original position.  Anyone have this problem?  I'm thinking I could stuff a rolled towel behind it to keep it tilted down or maybe use a big clip to keep it steady.

Re: Stupid carseat mirror!!

  • Mirrors are a HUGE safety hazard and we had to remove it at our MD state inspection. They can break on the chid in a crash.

I did fine w/o one all this time. Do not add anything that can become a projectile as well, including towels. I was even told to take toys down that were hanging off the headrests.

  • I have the FP one with the monkey. I can't tell if I am going to be able to see the baby with it or not yet since she isn't here yet but I have the seat in the car and I can kind of see it. I tried to use one with DS but the one I had never worked well so I returned it. I am going to try this one and if it doesn't work either I am going to return it an say the heck with it! I don't think ut can break because it is all plastic and it is secured pretty well.

  • Karen, at our inspection we saw a video and carseats are designed to give to absorb impact and the top of a properlyinstalled infant carrier touched the back seat! Freaked the HELL out of me, still to this day I can't shake it.
