Im doing alot of walking up at work today. If I dont reach my 10,000 steps with my pedometer today Im going to hit the gym and do alittle elliptical.
Yesterday's workout was so disappointing. I didnt feel like driving to the gym so I used my treadmill at home. I ran 1.5 miles and was so upset at how out of shape I am from running. 2 weeks before my BFP I was running 9-15 miles in a day on my longest run. So looks like in this second trimester Im going to have to work myself back up to 3-4 miles. I started to feel cramps below and it freaked me out but my breathing was so uncomfortable. It could have been from these gianormous boobies. But pretty disappointed in myself for letting myself get like this.
Thanks for letting me vent. And to top it off all I want is comfort food totally not the way I normally eat but thats all I want.
I didn't check in yesterday, but I did an hour-long power walk (please don't judge me for walking; I hate jogging ). Today, as long as it doesn't rain, I'm doing stair climbs at a local canal walk. If it does rain, I'll stay in and do my first tri strength DVD.

Totally not judging at all. Walking is a form of activity. Just like to see all the feb ladies doing some kind of activity!! Which you are!! Hope it doesnt rain so you can do outside activity. Im super jealous of your outdoor activities its too hot in Texas to do any of that except for early in the morning. I about died doing Kayaking the day before yesterday.

I totally know how you feel! I was never in as good a shape as you were (9-15 miles, wow!), but I could at least do 3 miles straight without too much trouble. Today I only managed 2, and that was with a walking break in the middle! Part of my problem is that I am very much an afternoon/evening workout person, but with my teaching schedule I've been forced to switch to mornings. However, I know it's mostly due to LO and the changes s/he is bringing! I try not to be too disappointed in myself, but I really feel so out of shape and it's not fun at all!
I think the best we can do is just keep plugging away as best we can. As long as we are doing something, it's good for us (and the baby), and we should just be content with that! Easier said than done, I know :P
Thanks for all the workout posts, by the way, missycrissy, I know they're a lot of work, but they go a long way towards keeping me motivated to actually get out of bed and do something!
Today, I'm walk/running a 5k with a friend as part of a race (for her, not me). I'm just there for moral support and to get my exercise in.
Yesterday I bailed on yoga (but did love my morning run!!!) b/c my heartburn is so bad. It's back again today, too. Lovely.
Missychrissy--if it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat with the running. It floored me when I ran for the first time in this pregnancy on Sunday and a 10 min mile was hard for me!!! And I only went a mile! I am usually an 8 min/mile and can do it for 26.2!!! So humbling. But, we have to remember, we WILL get it back and we'll get it back quickly b/c we kept up our exercise while PG. It's just not about us and our exercise anymore!
