nipple cream?

I have read that using a nipple cream while nursing is a good idea. I will be nursing twins once they arrive tihs fall. Any advice, suggestions or brands you like? I'd prefer something more natural if there are options. is the cream just to keep them from being chapped?

TIA

Re: nipple cream?

  • I really like Motherlove nipple cream.  It's all natural and helped me a lot, especially in the beginning when I was especially sore.  You can get it from Amazon or motherlove.com.

  • I bought the Lansinoh Lanolin. Get a small sized one. In fact the hospital gave me a small one...not sure why I felt the need to go waste money one the big one. I was only sore for 2 weeks tops and the $$ went to waste. Stuff isnt that cheap either.
  • Don't waste your money.  Your breastmilk is all you need and totally natural:)  After LOs feed, dry your nipples and express some milk on them, then air dry.  I have never had sore or cracked nipples.
