Hemp Inserts/Doublers

DS is now getting big enough that he is soaking through his FB Perfect Size in an hour or less (but his BumGenius are fine), so I'm thinking it might be time to switch to hemp inserts or add a doubler. Any advice? Any particular brands that are favorites around here?

I like Hemp Babies inserts or GMD Hemp Inserts.  Both work really well. My Hemp Babies are thinner, and longer than my GMD. 

Tonight I used a BG 4.0 with a Hemp Babies insert sandwiched between a BG regular soaker snapped to the small setting and a BG newborn insert. Which will be plenty for DS.

Hemp can hold a whole lot of pee! And they are easy to prep when you boil them.

I have several of the Hemp Babies doublers as well that work great.  I just ordered a couple of the Babykicks Joey ones because I have heard great things about them and needed a couple more.  Havent gotten them yet but hopefully they are good.

We use the babykicks hemparoo joeybunz premium inserts, and they are awesome.  They work well in a pocket, but during the day, we often just lay them in a cover.  They hardly take up any room, and you can fit a ton of them in a diaper bag.

I have a question that piggybacks off of this...If I was to be using the babykicks hemparoo joeybunz for example as an insert, how many would I need to use at one time? Like if I was stuffing a BG with the joeybunz instead of the inserts they provide...would I only need to use 1 hemp or bamboo insert bc they are so absorbent? or would I need to use at least 2?

I use the babykicks regular hemp insert (not the premium) for night time and I used one babykicks then lay 2 newborn BG inserts on top.  He's slept for 12 hours in that without a leak

We did. With RAR, not BG though it's the same concept.

I use hemp nightly, and my only complaint is that it takes forever to dry. The BK premium hemp is my favorite so far because it's several layers serged on one side so it gets clean and dry easy.

Hemp has a bad rap for getting stinky. It's usually because it's not getting clean or dry.

thirsties inserts were super absorbent for us, but I hated laundering them.
