35 weeks, 1 cm dialated

I know I could be 1 cm dialated for weeks... and I hope that I am because I'd like my little boy to marinate as long as he needs to in my belly... but I was still so excited to find out that my body has at least BEGUN the process!! 

Anyone have stories about how long they were "1 cm" ?

Also, baby is measuring in the 46th percentile, so he's a big small.  Any other comments/experience with this?

at 36 wks I was 1cm too...

Then I progressed each week 1 cm until at 40 wks I was 4cm's. A bit frustrating but also like you, glad my body was moving forward.

It was nice to do most of the work from home. When I actually had DD labor was only 7hrs for me!

At 29 wks with DD I was 3 cm's. I had her at 37 wks, so I lasted 8 wks!

When I was checked at 36 weeks, I was 1 cm and 70% effaced. DD came 6 days overdue.

I was checked at 36 weeks, fingertip dilation. I was checked yesterday, at 39w4d, and I am still a fingertip dilated!!!

2cm for me at my first internal at 36wks, 3cm last week, I'm currently in the waiting room for my 38wk appt.

1cm last friday and I was just 38 weeks. Tomorrow I have another check up, if my doctor tells me I am still 1 cm, I think I am going to cry. At this point of the game, I am sooo ready to push this baby out. Also mine is in the 78% so is quite big and there's no room for both...

For my first baby I was one finger tip dilated (not even 1 cm) when I was 41 weeks, so I can imagine how excited you are to know that your baby is right around the corner!  I can't completely relate, but I know how exciting it is to know that progress is being made.

On another note, I was 3 cm for at least 5 days before my second baby came.

At 37 weeks I was 1 cm and 75% effaced. At 38 weeks I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. Today is my due date and this morning I was still 3 cm and 80% effaced.

I am 34 weeks 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I am on partial bedrest. I hope she stays in longer!

at 35 weeks, I lost my mucus plug, was 2 cm dilated, 85% effaced.  36, I was 3 cm dilated 90% at 38 weeks, I was 4.5 cm dilated 95% effaced.  At 39 weeks, I was induced, because I was almost 6 cm dilated 100% effaced, and ob was not comfortable with me walking around that way, (neither was I).

I was in between 3 and 4 at 36 weeks with DD1 and she was born the next day.

At 35 weeks, I was 2 cm and 100% effaced.  Stayed that way until I was induced for pre-e at 37w3d.

Don't get excited....I'm also 35 weeks and was dilated 1 cm at 25 weeks, 2 cm at 28 weeks, 4 cm & 50% effaced since 31 weeks..and still at there now at 35 weeks.  Your body starts dilating (usually) a few weeks before labor actually begins.
