T&P's needed for my friend

so we just got a phone call saying that our good friend's baby was born still this morning.  the mom found out early on that the baby had gastroschisis, that is a condition where there is a hole in the abdomen and the organs can protrude out.  in her case they were telling her that the hole was really small, 1 cm, and that only a very small loop of intestines were coming out.  she had a pretty good prognosis and was seeing a specialist weekly and getting weekly u/s. 

she was due in the next 2-3 weeks and Aubrey was born at 7lb 11oz today.  when she was born they discovered that her condition was way worse than they expected.  most of her intestines were outside of her body and there was no skin covering it.  it is beyond sad.  the mom is still in the hospital until tuesday.  so we are planning to do meals and anything else we can to help out.  they have an 18mth old and they are young parents.

ETA:  ok, so i couldn't wait and i googled it.  that is an awesome foundation and i will def pass it on.  i think i remember that mom, wasn't she here on the bump?  wasn't she the one who had a blog where she wrote letters to her son while she was still pg with him?  i think that's her.  in fact, if i'm thinking of the right person didn't she get pg again?  i don't remember hearing much about that pg.  i think she kept it a secret until she was like 20 weeks along or something like that.  thanks for pointing me in this direction.  i'm off to read the whole website.  i had only read the first two paragraphs before i came back here to write this.

Yes! She's a good friend and after Isaac, they were blessed with Eliana, who is now almost 1 1/2! She's expecting another baby in January too.  I hope that both you and your friend find support with the foundation
