Hello there, Mamas!  

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jamie & I've been around TB since we started TTC 2 years ago (though I was most active on TTCAL6+ & PgAL).  I'm currently SAH, but in a few months I'll be starting back up part-time as a veterinarian (& I'm happy to try & help with furbaby issues!).  DH is a high school teacher & football/baseball coach.

DD is Sutton Genevieve, & she was born 8 days ago (on 7/23, her EDD!) after being induced because the OB was concerned about IUGR since her abdomen was measuring small (she was a bit of a peanut at 6lb 8oz).  She's had a little jaundice & was losing some weight while my milk was coming in but, other than that, she's just perfect in every way & we are SO happy to have her here.    (There's more of a birth story with more PIPs in my post on PgAL, if you're interested.)   

My significant stats are in my siggy.  I am SO grateful to have found the boards here & really would've been a wreck after our loss if it wasn't for the ladies on here.  I cannot express how thankful I am for everyone's support, & I will do my best to give it back as much as possible!

I've been lurking on here for a few months & am so happy to see so many of the "regulars" from PgAL doing so well!  It's wonderful to be able to join you here!!!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome, ladies!    I still can't believe that I'm/we're here on PAL!!!     

And thank you for all of the sweet comments about our little girl.  I'm totally in love with her little lips, too (which she gets from her Daddy...good job, DH!) & am thinking about using a black & white version of the first pic on her birth announcements.  

The past week+ has been such a whirlwind...I feel totally clueless about even the smallest & most basic baby-related things (& I have a sister who is 10 years younger than me, so it's not like I've never been around babies before!).  I already have tons of questions, but I promise I'll try to keep the PWing to a minimum (even though I know you are all extremely supportive & have wonderful advice!).    

Well, off to catch some zzzs (hopefully) before starting the day.  DH & I are going to a car seat safety class at our county health department this morning (which I've really been wanting to do for awhile).  The best part, though, is that our county has some kind of fantastic grant (or Faustian deal or something) where county residents can get a convertible carseat for $10 (yes, you read that right, TEN DOLLARS) at the end of the class!  I just wanted to make sure our seat was installed correctly, but now we'll be able to get one for the other car, too...super bonus!!!
