Nap/bedtime

Any idea why my DS cries every single time he goes down for a nap/bedtime? We watch for sleepy cues and watch the clock for appropriate wake times for naps, but he always fights going down.  With bedtime, we do the same bedtime routine (bath, book, bottle, bed) for weeks and he still fights it....any suggestions to make it go smoother? TIA

I have no suggestions, DD is the same way

She was taking naps in her swing for awhile and I started weaning her from it since she'll be starting daycare in a few weeks.  Naps have been really tough. I'm worried she wont sleep at all when she starts daycare or the caretaker is going to have a too hard of a time putting her down.

Our bedtime routine goes really well...bath, bottle, book...he usually goes right to sleep with little or no fussing.  I have the exact opposite luck for naptime.  It's AWFUL!  The only time he peacefully falls asleep is in the stroller or carseat, but I'm trying to break him of that.
