IUI #2 Done - Annoyed vent

Had IUI this morning. Everything went fine, sperm count was 29 mil post wash. But before she did the procedure the nurse said "Do you have any questions" I said no and then she goes on to tell me that this next cycle they are going to have me change up the injections a little since this cycle was so long. Wait, NEXT CYCLE??? WTF lady I am here for the IUI which I am really hoping will work and you are talking to me about next cycle? I don't want there to be a next cycle!!! Honestly why would she be talking like that?? Not really the way I wanted to end up feeling about this cycle!

Clomid for 6 cycles starting August 2010- O but no BFP
SA Septemeber 2010 Looking good 
HSG September 2010 All clear 
1st RE visit May 2011 - IUI#1 June 20, 2011: BFN
IUI #2 July 31 2011: BFP - m/c @ 5w1d
Surprise BFP on a break cycle 10/4/11, Due June 4, 2012, Born 6/9/2012

    Ugh, that sucks!  The nurse should not say that to you.  I hope you can prove her wrong when you get your BFP!  Try to keep busy this 2ww.  Can't wait to hear your good news!

    Some people astound me with the crap that they say. 

    Forget her!  Hopefully in a few weeks you will be showing her there's no need to change anything up, because you are KU!!

    TTC since 2008
    Dh:34, no issues.  Me:31, Endo, slightly hypothyroid, deformed ovary, paracentric inversion.
    4 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone +TI cycles= all BFN
    Lap in 2012 to remove large unresolving cyst discovered endo and double lobed ovary.
     6 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone IUI cycles= All BFN,
    1st IVF w/ICSI- June '13 Antagonist: Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, HcG, Estradiol, Crinone= 7 retrieved, 4 mature, 1 unfertilized, 2 abnormally fertilized, 1 normally fertilized.  2DT of only embryo and our miracle BFP.
    Our beloved baby boy was born sleeping Oct. 13, 2013 due to pROM/IC/Uterine infection.
    2nd IVF w/ICSI- Feb. '14 EPP/lupron/antagonist: Estrace, lupron, HGH, Gonal-F, Menopur, HcG, PIO, lovenox, doxy/dex.=21 retrieved, 16 mature, 15 fertilized!!  5dt of 1 blast/ 6 frozen. BFP!  Beta 1 9dp5dt:83.9  Beta 2: 11dp5dt: 145.2  Beta 3  14dp5dt: 497  Please be our sticky rainbow baby!

    Wow, really? I mean, I don't have a problem about talking about the future (like if you *need* another cycle) but to just talk about "next cycle" like you'll definitely will be back is absurd! I mean, you should have asked her what was the point in her doing the IUI if she was so sure you'd be back for another cycle?

    UGH! I'm sorry you had to deal with that negativity from your nurse. Good luck on this cycle and hopefully you can walk in there in 2 weeks proving her wrong!

    06/26/13: Start BCPs
    07/02/13: HSG #2= all clear
    07/15/13: Start Lupron 10 ius
    07/25/13: Suppression check
    07/28/13: Start stims (225IUs Follistim + 75IUs Menopur) drop to 5 IUs Lupron
    08/01/13: Monitoring: 12 follicles all about 10mm, E2- 313
    08/04/13: Monitoring: 18 follicles (15mm, 13mm, a few 11mm, rest 10mm or below) E2- 1,505
    Start Augmentin- antibiotic prep
    08/06/13: Monitoring: 13 follicles (18mm, 17mm, rest b/w 15mm-16mm!) Ready to trigger!! E2- 2,248
    08/08/13: ER-- 14R, 13M, 10F 
    08/11/13: One fertilized late, we now have 11 embryos!
    08/13/13: 5dt-- 2 blasts (Sheldon and Penny) 3AA and 3BB, none to freeze
    8/23/13: BFFN... Sheldon and Penny didn't stick**

    **8/29/13: Follow up... bad fragmentation issues. Changing protocol to Antagonist for round #2 coming soon! Also started on 81mg Aspirin after getting blood panel done and found out I have PAI-1**

    **Oct 2013: After large cysts, finally starting IVF #2**
    IVF w/ICSI #2 (Antagonist Protocol)
    BCPs started back in Sept due to cysts
    10/27/13: Start stims (225 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)
    11/03/13 - 11/05/13: Add Ganirelix to the mix
    11/06/13: 3 follicles at 18mm-- Ready to trigger!
    11/08/13: ER-- 17R, 13M, 8F
    11/13/13: 5dt-- 2 blasts (Luke and Leia) 5AB and 4AB, 1 frostie
    11/20/13- 11/23/13: light positives on FRERs and Wondofos
    11/22/13: BFN per RE office (under HCG of 10)
    11/27/13: CP ::sigh::

    *12/03/13: Follow up...great response and quality this time, was given 50% chance of it working, just didn't stick. Great plan for 2014! 

    **Jan 2014: Last IVF of our SRP**
    IVF w/ICSI, freeze all, then FET
    12/27/13: Start BCPs
    01/19/14: Stims (375 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)

    People just don't think before they speak.  She obviously wasn't thinking about it from your perspective.  Sorry she was such a downer.  Let's hope you don't need to worry about next time at all!

    My RE actually did the same thing at our last IUI.  He asked what we wanted to do next cycle.  I was pretty PO'ed myself.

    I find this funny because the exact opposite thing happened at my last IUI... I demanded to know what we are doing for the next cycle, and they refused to talk about it until beta time.  I've always been a glass half empty kinda gal though.  I keep hoping someone will prove me wrong but so far they haven't...
