It seems like people seem to either love or hate them.
You may want to research GroVia as well. We love GroVia. Very similar to gDiapers as they have cloth and disposable inserts. They are also OS as well where are gDiapers are sized which means you have to buy more shells as your baby grows.
We use them and love them. For a while I hated them for Dominic, they did not work at all for him. But, now they work great on him. For Natalie, they've always worked well. I love they way they look.
They are definitely worth a try, but be patient with them and make sure to use them correctly. These ones have a bit more of a learning curve. I find, with my two kinds, that have a variety of brands is wonderful:) We also use grovia (which are also awesome) and fitteds with wool.
We just started using them last week, and I really like them. They've very easy for DH to put on, which is a plus! I haven't had any leaks or any issues really, and we've keep DD in them for 3+ hours.
PS. Don't try flushing the disposables. They say you should, and you CAN, but it's a slim margin of error. If you don't flush them JUST RIGHT, you'll wind up with a floor full of toilet water...trust me
