have a middle, need help with a first girl name please

Hey all

We're giving our girl the middle name Susan to honor a family member and we're pretty well decided about that.  We're less decided about the first.  Our last name has two syllables and begins with an A.  

Can you give me your opinion on these first names?

Alice

Grace

Eleanor

Ellen

Clara 

We don't want a name that's super popular but we also aren't going to let that turn us off from any one name if we really begin to like it.

Any help is appreciated, including other names that aren't on this list but seem up our alley.  Thank you!

I think Eleanor Susan sounds the nicest. GL!

Alice- the "ce" sound runs together with the S in Susan- nms

Grace- same as above

Eleanor- popular name, but good flow with Susan

Ellen- both names end in "n"- doesn't flow nicely

Clara- my favorite with the mn Susan

I'm not a fan of Alice, and I don't like the combination Ellen Susan.

I like Eleanor Susan best out of your list, but I think Suzanne would sound better with all of your choices. IMO, it still honors your relative, but with a twist!

I've always loved the name Susan, but it is a difficult middle name While all your FN choices are lovely names, I think the name Eleanor sounds best with the mn Susan. The others don't sound "right" to me...

Would like to give you other name choices than what you have, but I don't have any names in mind yet for my LO.  So from the ones you have listed I would go with Eleanor Susan.
