XP: Anyone have the Joovy Caboose or Ultralight stroller (sit and stand)?

Just wondering if anyone has purchased or taken the Joovy Caboose or Caboose Ultralight for a test drive?

DD will be 5 when this baby arrives, but she still loves her stroller. She likes to get in and out and walk around, but also needs a rest now and then when we're on all day outings. I also like having somewhere I can put her when she's being difficult and needs to be confined to the stroller to calm down. I think having the sit and stand option for her is ideal. She's way too old/active to do the traditional double stroller thing. I also love that both front and back seats go up to 45 pounds (a must since DD is about 37 pounds as of right now).

Does the stroller maneuver easily? How's the storage basket (looks annoying to access but that may be a sacrifice I'm willing to make)? Sunshade? Ease of use overall? Any other comments?

TIA ladies! :)

  • I had one.  My Graco infant seat did not fit on it safely so i would make sure you check that.  My DD was also not comfortable sitting on the bench when the infant seat was there.  If your DD is mostly planning on standing, that part would be okay.  As far as the storage basket goes, it's not only impossible to access, it's teeny tiny.  It maneuvered fine and I think the sunshade is okay (I can't really remember.)  I know other people that loved it.  But for us, I used it for a week after DS was born and then sold it because the infant seat was so unsafe.  If you can try that and the Baby Trend Sit n Stand in store, I'd try them both before you decide.

Thanks for the insight! There is a store nearby that sells the Joovy, so I'm planning on trying it out and bringing our infant seat to see if it fits properly. I guess I'll bring DD too and see how comfy it is for her as well,
