  • My pedi never said, but I've been feeding DS soft fruits uncooked for a few weeks.  Plums, mango, nectarine, watermelon, kiwi, etc.  What even he can gum up on his own.

  • We only did purees for about 4-6wks. At 6 mo our pedi gave us the go ahead for soft finger foods.  He had 2 teeth and has since gotten 2 more.  He loves finger foods.  He still has oatmeal and fruit puree for breakfast.

  • I haven't talked to my pedi about it, but I imagine in a month or two when she gets teeth and can eat better on her own I'll stop purees. (So 7-8 months old).
