I was supposed to be doing injects this cycle, but I ordered my meds from Canada and they haven't arrived yet. I'm supposed to start the injects tonight, so it looks like we'll have to wait until the next cycle for that. I still have the rest of my Clomid to take, though. If possible I would like to just finish out my Clomid like normal, FWP every other day, and see what happens. But I'm not sure if that's safe. Do you have to be monitored when you're taking Clomid? If so, I'll probably just go all out with the IUI because the bulk of our costs is the u/s's anyway.
P.S. I will definitely call my RE on Monday and ask... but in the meantime I'm curious.
Re: Is it okay to do Clomid w/o monitoring?
No, it is not ok.
Yes, you have to be monitored
You should always be monitored while taking fertility meds, Clomid or otherwise. I'd hope your RE will tell you this exact thing on Monday.

If you want to do a Clomid cycle why can't your RE just switch protocols so you can be monitored?
That was my exact thought when I saw the title of this post.
This was my second thought:
He can, and I'm sure that's what will end up happening. I was just thinking that if it was safe to do it w/o being monitored it would save us about a grand. But I don't want to end up in a Jon and Kate-type situation!
