Got our doppler today!

A girl online was selling her old AngelSounds doppler for $20, so we snatched it up. It arrived today, and we (obviously!) gave it a try immediately.

We found the LO's heartbeat within about 5min, going so much faster than mine! It was SUCH an amazing feeling. My DH was really thrilled (and, obvs, so was I!!).

Baby was higher up than I was expecting -- almost exactly halfway between my navel and my pubic bone. So cool!!

Yay!  I'm afraid to buy one.  I know baby's in there and doing well (we just had our u/s), but I know I'd use it like, everyday, just for reassurance.

Congrats! We got our Doppler today and I found the heartbeat almost instantly. Dh had said it was a waste of $60, but when he heard the heartbeat he got a little misty eyed. There is nothing like that sound is there?

Becky515: Would having the doppler to search every day make you feel better? Or would it just make you feel panicky on the days when the HB is harder to find?

 Karlee: Haha, that was pretty much my DH's reaction, too. It really is a beautiful sound!!

I'm afraid it would make me panicky, lol. I'll talk to DH and see what he thinks. But my sister (who's 20 weeks with her 2nd) said that soon you'll be able to feel it move, so it might not be worth the money.

I just ordered mine yesterday and can't wait to get it! DH thinks its a waste too but, I know it'll be worth it in the end.
