DS just turned 7 months and I feel like he is on the brink of army crawling. He's trying to figure out the coordination needed, but isn't quite moving forward yet. He's able to bend his legs and push. He's so close. But he isn't quite able to sit up yet. He can sit up for a second or two only if he's holding on to something or using a hand to touch the floor and balance himself. My first son was able to sit up well before he crawled, so this seems a little strange to me.
Re: Anyone have a LO who crawled before he was able to sit up?
My DD did this. Army crawled @ 6 mo., the was able to sit up @ 7.
This post is such a relief as my 6m old can bearly sit up and I figured he was behind lol. He "trys" to crawl already and loves being on his tummy. He "pulls' himself forward and backwards and can turn himself around. He rolls all over but just never trys to sit up. I can sit him up and he does the tripod thing for a bit but then hes like "meh" and just falls over and goes right back to tummy time.
Now he LOVES LOVES LOVES to stand up, and can even stand up (supported) on his own quite well. I was getting nervous he doesn't have any interest in sitting up at all.

DD2 did this.... she was 5 months when she started crawling and is just getting really good at sitting up unassisted (w/o pillows).
DD1 Sat up around 6 months as well but didn't crawl until 8ish months.
