Are you here tonight? I sent this a few days ago, but I don't think you saw it.... Hope you're enjoying the amazing weather we've had the past week! The beach has been so beautiful and clear : )
Here are the stores I know of that sell CD...
Babies In Bloom:
off the 78 in Oceanside (kinda far for you). They sell BG, Thirsties,
Bummis, and a bunch of other fun stuff. They have a great website -
check it out!
Baby Frenzy: in El Cajon. I haven't been to this
store, by my hairdresser swears by it. She started using Happy Heiny's
on her third baby and totally loves them! BTW, did you know Happy
Heiny's are made in San Diego?
Magical Child: in Coast Highway
in Encinitas. They sell Happy Heiny, BG, prefolds, Bummis, and
Loveybums. The store has cute boutique-y stuff, but is kinds pricey.
They have tons of wraps/slings and the sales staff are really helpful
with explaining the different slings and sizing you.
babybeanboutique.com: started by a SAHM in North County. No sotrefront, but website has lots to offer and she is a lactation consultant.
ecobaby.com: Located on Miramar Road. I haven't been there, but have poked around on the website.
I'm
up in North County, so I don't know many connections down in central or
south SD. I'm sure there must be some stores in
Hillcrest/NorthPark/Mission Hills. I've ordered from Nicki's and Green
Mountain Diapers. GMD was super fast!!! And I've heard RAVE reviews
about moderndiapers.com (run by a fellow Nestie).
I
don't know anyone (other than my dear hairdresser!) who is CDing in SD.
None of my friends are and they all think I'm nuts. Anytime you want to
talk CD or pg or OB (I'm a L&D nurse at UCSD) give me a shout!

Re: **MrsDaniGirl**
Thanks! This is very useful. I was actually going back a few posts to search for CD info tonight and have been making a list of what people have recommended so I can start my stash early
I'll definitely be checking these stores out. I also found out that BG 3.0s are being sold at Target! I haven't seen them in any local Targets yet but I also haven't been looking. I was going to wait for the free shipping and than buy like four from Target online.
This will be easier than I thought. I didn't know there were so many good resources in SD! Thanks again. I'll definitely page you if I have any other questions.
On a side note, my uncle works as an ER nurse at UCSD
I haven't looked for BG at Target yet either - very excited they carry them now. CD websites I've found most helpful about different types of CD, cost, starting a stash etc... are:
Jillian's Drawers, Nicki's Diapers, Pinstripes and Polka Dots, Sunshine Diapers, and Green Mountain Diapers (GMD).
Jillian's and Sunshine have good "trial" offers where you can try a bunch of diff types of dipes and send back what you don't like. Good way to figure out what works for you. Nicki's and GMD have good package deals. I decided not to do a "trial" and to just start the newborn stash with prefolds, Thirsties XS fitteds, and KL0s (and covers of course). Once I've been CDing and Baby is bigger, I'll proabably try a couple different pockets and go from there. And continue with larger pfs. Who know what I'll like???
I've ordered from Nicki's and GMD and both were easy and fast. Also have heard rave reviews about ModernDiapers.com (run by a fellow Nestie).
