I have been so stuffed up lately, and it's driving me crazy. I really don't need ANOTHER thing to keep me from sleeping at night, so I've been taking my Flonase before I go to bed. The nurse I saw two weeks ago told me it was fine on a need to take basis, but for the last four days I've needed it every night. From what I've read, there aren't any definitive studies on effects of the drug on pregnancies, which just makes me nervous. I was wondering how you all deal with congestion?
Re: Horrible Allergies! How to Deal?
Neti pots are safe to use during pregnancy. It's a rather odd sensation when using it, but it definitely does the trick for congestion...and naturally. I'm pretty sure Walmart and most drug stores carry them.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!!
I have heard good things about the Neti pots but never tried it. During my first pregnancy if I was stuffed up, I used sea water/saltwater nasal spray. I think you can also take regular benadryl (it is on my OB's safe list) but I would check with your doctor about that.
Good luck!
