I booked LO's birthday party today

I am not going to be able to fit all of DH's family in my house in December so we booked an American Legion. There is one not too far away that was just reciently renovated. It's a great space & my brother is a vet so I got his discount. Someone posted about birthday ideas reciently so it got me thinking. Just a heads up...The last 2 Saturdays in December this year are Christmas eve & New years eve. Myla's B-day is the 16th. The place was already booked on the 3rd and 17th but I got the 10th. Perfect. I looked at a whole bunch of ideas. DD's first b-day was a cupcake theme. LO's is going to be Winter ONEderland snowflakes, snowmen, igloos etc.

On another note I got DD's preschool deposit paid, physical form & preschool info form turned in. Yay for a productive day & for Daddy being home tonight to do bath time so I can sit here and enjoy the quiet.

yea i noticed that about the dates too.  griffins birthday is on the 11th (sunday) so i called and booked the restaurant last month.  the lady on the phone kind of laughed at me cause i was booked so early but i wanted that date and i didnt want someone else to get it first.

their 1st bdays are getting closer & closer.  How is this happening!?!?  Bryson's bday is the 22nd so I think I'm having his party the saturday before his bday on the 17th.  I bet alot of places fill up fast with holiday parties & such that month.  Better start figuring out where the party will be!!

G came earlier so his bday is the week before thanksgiving.. i can't decide if that's going to make party planning easier or harder! oh and it's a week before my own bday. can we do a joint party?!

our immediate family said they are coming (from FL, WA and CA to MN). also, my girlfriends in CA called to say they are coming.  i was kind of surprised by this (we haven't even started talking about the party),  but they said "of course we are coming, its a BIG deal!".  so, id say, expect very close friends and family to want to come if they can afford the flight.  we are not going to have a big party...probably something intimate at the house with homemade cake, etc.
