Do you know how you figure out the percentage saved on your grocery bill?
For instance my bill today came to $59 and I saved $29 (So the 59 was after saving 29). So how can I figure out what percentage I saved? I'd like to start a chart and track my savings every week but I don't know how.
TIA
Re: Couponers... A ?
This is really a MATH question, not so much a coupon question.
Since you saved 29, and spent 59 - I added those two numbers together to get 88.
I divided 29 into 88 and got .329 which would mean (after rounding) that you saved about 33%.
I'm pretty certain that is how you'd figure it, but someone feel free to jump in and tell me I'm wrong.

29=x% of 88 is the formula, and 'of' = multiplication in math
so,
29=x% X 88 ,,,
29/88=x%
33% is correct
