TTC after 35

BFP!!

Okay, I am cautiously optimistic b/c we just did the iui a week ago, but I've felt different all week and today I broke down and bought 2 digital tests. I took one and was expecting a not pregnant (though in my heart I've felt I am) and it came up Pregnant.

I know this could be the hormones still working through my body, but I've never had a Pregnant on a digital even this early. I'll try to hold off and test again in a week, but I feel so different this time around that I just know I am pg.

Dh is happy but is also cautious because we had a bfp last year and 4 weeks into pg I had an mc. Personally I am on cloud nine but also scared because of how early it is and b/c of the mc last year.

I just had to share, even though I know it's too early.

Re: BFP!!

  • Did you do a trigger before your IUI? Sorry to be negative nelly but many women report that the hcg from the trigger doesn't leave their system until up to 12-13 days after the trigger, which would still put you at risk for a false positive.

But if you didn't trigger, and its really a super early BFP, then Congratulations! LOL Really hope this is it for you.

  • Yes, I did and I know this could turn out to be wrong, but I've never had a bfp after triggering (except the one time last year), so I am optimistic. I just know that I feel different this time. So hopefully, it is a true bfp and all will go well this go round.

Thanks yall. I know I'm new and not a part of the group but since I can't share this news with anyone else yet, I wanted to tell someone, lol.

I was going to say THIS exactly.  A week post trigger is very risky. Hopefully we are wrong.
