I made it past 5 months of EPing! My LO hasn't had formula since he was a week old. Wow.My supply is nothing like it once was but I'm still making enough for him each day and some left over for the freezer stash. He's supposed to start needing less BM after 6 months, right?

They will end up needing less the more solids they take in....so whenever you start the solids you will see a slow decline. Congrats to you! I planned on doing that in the beginning but went with EBF!

My LO is closing in on 7 mo and still takes just as much milk as he always has.  I wouldnt count on starting solids meaning less milk.  I spoke to our pedi about it and he said by the time he is really into solids then maybe, but that isnt usually until around 9+ mo.

WOW. You are my hero. I despise pumping with every fiber of my being (I'm nursing him, but pumping to build a freezer stash). I cannot imagine EPing for 5 months. What a dedicated mama you are!

This. I didn't start to see a decline in the amount of milk my LO was taking in until about two weeks ago (~8 months old). It can take some time for them to get the hang of solids and during that time they may not decrease their milk intake.
