1st Trimester

Flying tomorrow and M/S is just starting...

Well, I had this flight to NY scheduled before I found out I was pregnant, I know its okay to fly and my ob even said so, eventhough I'm high risk for early miscarriage, but I'm scared!!I've also just started getting nausea in the morning, is it going to make it worse?  Luckily, its a direct flight from Phoenix to Buffalo, but I'm very nervous about how I'll do!!Do you think if I tell them, they'll bump me to first class if they have it available?  Wishful thinking, right?Where's the best part of the plane to sit?  Thanks for any advice you can give!!

  • Sit toward the front of the plane and yes flying is going to make it worse. Bring barf bags, wear seabands, have snacks maybe ginger candy, and try ice for your wrists. Throwing up in a plane isnt all that uncommon so people wont be too freaked out lol

  • If you alert the flight attendants that you have morning sickness, they'll check in on you from time to time...make sure you're doing okay and see if they can get you anything.
  • I'm flying to NJ Sat am and luckliy this pregnancy I haven't been too sick (just queasy here and there) but I'm nervous because I'll have my boys with me too (one is 8 months old).

My dr said he can give me a perscription but I decined, he said if my m/s hasn't been bad it shouldn't be too bad and he did mention to take a snack and I am gonna have the barf bag ready.  Bleh.
