Special Needs

WWYD

Would you be concerned about this...My son does this everytime he is dead asleep. It is mostly in the middle of the night after he has ate a bottle.

It can last up to two hours long and it gets pretty intense. This video is only the mild 20 secs of what he does. And it was during the day time. When he was sleeping in my arms. At first I thought he was fighting sleep and then I realized that it wasnt that at all.

It has seemed to get worse over time. He head bangs and his arms fly out in all directions...then he arches his whole body over and over.

To me the way he acts, it like he is in pain.

But once again...this video is very mild of what he does. Im not able to tape the bad times bc we are in the dark and I have to hold him with both hands.

Re: WWYD

  • does he see any specialists that could review the video? a neurologist or GI specialist?
  • We have both. We have an appt with the neurosurgeon tomorrow to talk about his anachroid cyst they found on his brain.

He doesnt see Gi again till next week.

  • That's very odd. Definitely show it to the GI. It seems to probably be more reflux related than seizure, but I'm no dr.

    Good luck with everything.

  • When DS was on Nutramigen/Alimentum/Elecare he did this EVERY 30 minutes all night long.  We stayed up for months just patting him through it.  Turns out he was intolerant to corn syrup.

It seems either Food Allergy or reflux related.  Once we got his reflux under control and changed his formula he started sleeping amazing.

To my boys:  I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
