I had a doc appt yesterday and they are worried about my weight since Im on the smaller end and have had digestive problems my whole life. They want to to up my protein intake. Problem is Im sooo picky. I like peanut butter but now it makes me sick. Not a huge meat eater but Im trying. As for peanuts and soy and such never liked them and still dont.. so I have seen a few ladies post they drink protein shakes. Any suggestion on a bar or shake that you guys love and isnt like those thick powdery nasty ones?? Or even a good protein bar??
Thanks ladies!

I don't believe that God ever tells us "no". he has three options. Yes, not right now, or I have something better in mind. We just have to wait & see.
Before getting pregnant I really liked these protein bars. They are so good. I guess they'd be okay to eat now, I just haven't.
As for protein powder, we use this kind at home. We switched to it because it's all natural. It's not the most delicious thing ever but mixed with milk, it's pretty good. You just have to make sure that you mix it up really well. There are some others that I like the flavor of but I can't think of the name right now. I'll come back if I think of it.
I was drinking ensure when I was really nauseous. You can get the kind with extra protein, plus it has tons of vitamins.
I also have berry flavored whey protein powder from GMC that I use from time to time if I'm hungry but don't feel like cooking. I blend it with half a cup of yogurt and cup of skim milk. It can keep me full for a really long time.
I find that soy protein does not keep me full for very long, and you need to be careful later in the pregnancy since soy protein also packs a lot of carbs. I was vegan until we started trying. My doctor told me she's had quite a few patients who were vegan or vegetarian who ended up having complications, not because of a lack of protein, but because their blood sugar levels went out of whack.
Nevermind, you said you don't like soy. Oops.
Special K has a protein powder that you can add to your water that comes in different flavors like pink lemonade and strawberry. It tastes great!
