VA/MD/DC get together?

Ok. I think I am in a position to organize this now as the jet lag has faded....(I think. Hard to tell with pregnancy exhaustion!) Right now I am looking for location suggestions and possible dates from anyone interested in attending. I want to offer the first weekend of September (cooler weather for a possible outdoor get together and after most vacations). As for location - I love Shirlington in Arlington, VA. There are lots of great outdoor restaurants and right off the highway in a fairly central location. Let me hear your ideas. (Sorry for the lack of paragraphs. I am still limited to my iPad until our stuff arrives from Nepal.)

My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy.  Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.

    I don't have any ideas because I am not familiar with the area, but I just wanted to say that every time I see your siggy ppic, the ice cream looks like an arial view of mountains or a canyon or something! LOL, and then I just realize, oh.... it's chocolate PB ice cream...

     I'm w/ JayNina, I think maybe the weekend after would work better. 

     But this is a great idea! :)

    That makes total sense. So for now the date can lean towards the second weekend in September. I definitely need to hear from more ladies......
