If you use pocket diapers, do you sun the cover and insert or just the cover? I think I'm going to sun for the first time today, which is pretty crazy since I live in Texas and haven't had rain in FOREVER.

I usually don't care much about stains, but we have some pretty funky ones I'm working on washing right now.

I would sun whatever is stained. I'm so jealous - we don't have enough strong sun to make a difference!

I sun both.

welshgirl-if you have a vehicle I used the dashboard in my car over the winter and the windshield glass magnified the sun so much that it actually did make a difference.

I typically just sun the pockets but I would do the inserts too if they were really bad.

Thanks mamaholmes - we just don't have enough sun, period. Today (summer, right??) it was 65 and cloudy. Yay.

I'm so jealous! We've had 40-something 100+ degree days this summer (way over average, even for Texas), and there's no end in sight. Plus, we're in a record drought. The local natural swimming areas are so low that it's not really worth even try get relief there. Our grass is horribly dry, and with watering restrictions, we can't do much to help it. We had a water play day at church last week, and my son didn't want to put his feet in the grass because it was so dry and crunchy.
