Normal? It fades as the session progresses and isn't anything more
intense than I had with sex my first pregnancy. I'm so paranoid about
BFing causing problems!
I am 16 weeks pregnant and also nursing my 2 year old. The cramping is normal. There is a book called Adventures in Tandem Nursing that is amazing. I found mine on Amazon. I highly recommend it. Good luck and yay for you continuing nursing.
I would call your OB, its prob normal but just b/c people say "its safe" means it may be safe for them, but you may have some underlining condition or history that makes it not safe for you. (such as if someone has a history of m/c, or more likely to have a high-risk pg then your OB may want you to stop BF.)
Thank you for your responses I had no complications with the last pregnancy at all. Like I said,
after sex for the first 16 weeks or so I had slightly uncomfortable
cramping, but no spotting or other issues associated with it (which is
why this didn't concern me too much). I just got my BFP this week. Based
on my last pregnancy it seems my uterus is rather irritated the first
trimester. I also had a lot of cramping not related to sex or anything
last time. I have to call to make my first appointment soon and I
had another question I was planning on asking, so I'll add this to the
list, thank you! I actually nursed her this morning with no issue, so
maybe it will be an off and on thing.
Re: XP: Nursing while pregnant, cramping
It's probably no big deal, but if I were you, I might make a quick call to your OB/GYN. Better safe than sorry, I'm thinking.
Good luck, and hope you have a happy and healthy rest of your pregnancy!
