Almost 7 mo in, why is my supply so up and down?

Some days I pump plenty, others barely anything.  I also got AF back when DS turned 5 mo and the week before that my output is very low.  DS takes 16oz to daycare daily and I barely keep up with him.  Its almost 3pm and I have only pumped 6oz so far today while at work.  Is this normal?  I dont want to drain my freezer stash.  I just used 5 bags on Friday night when DS stayed with my parents for the night.

Have you started any solids?  Mine went down around that time too, but I chalked it up to AF since that came before we introduced solids (around 6 1/2 months).  Actually it was more of my pumping output that went down b/c DS seemed to be getting enough and I BF'd until 15 months, but pumping wasn't going that great.

I had to start carefully counting my calories recently to make sure I was eating enough to make milk, because with him moving around more, I wasn't eating as much. Sure enough, that was most of the problem. I also started taking brewer's yeast tablets, which helped a lot. HTH
