Lance has had a 103+ fever for about 3 days now. I took him in today and the Dr thinks it may be Roseloa. We are still waiting on the rash once the fever lets up.
If your DC has had Roseloa, how long are they contagious? Until after the fever breaks, or after the rash is gone? I dont remember.
Re: Those who have had Roseola
Sandy,
My now 3 yr old had Roseola when she was 10 months old. Once the fever is gone which is about when the rash will occur is when they are no,onger contagious. My daughter woke on a Monday morning with super high fever, she wasgetting in the 104 range some times where I would put her in a luke warm bath to help bring the temp down till the fever reducers kicked in. Also I never knew this till she was 18 months old but you can give them both tylenol and advil at the same time. My daughters rash wasout of the norm. They say it is not suppose to itch and that it occurs on the torso sometimes thru the neck and down the arms and legs. My daughter she had a little rash on her belly but the worse went to her scalp and it itch. It went full force over night. At 4 in the morning I brought her to bed cuase she ws having trouble getting basck to sleep when I noticed she kept rubbing her head thatis when I saw the rash was there. Poor thing I have pics of her with pink hair cause we tried everything safe to use to help the itch stop. Think the best thing tha tworked was a bath where I out baking soda in it and rinsed her down. Hope Lance is getting better
