My OB ok'ed Mineral Ice. H would rub some on my lower back and shoulders every night before bed and it really helped me to sleep and it would ease the pain.
I can just see all of you 30 weekers rolling your eyes and saying, "You haven't felt anything yet!"
UUUGGGGHHHHH
Any suggestions on how to relieve it?
I'm 31 weeks and certainly wouldn't roll my eyes at you! All of us experience it differently. Try the things you normally would: tylenol, switching positions, massage, heating pads, etc..
Also, my pains come and go. I'll have a bad back day or a bad hip day, but as my body readjusts itself to the new shape/added weight it seems to lessen for a bit. So, I hope you're going through a pain "phase" and not actually in for months of constant pain!!!!!

ITA. I have good days and bad days when it comes to pretty much all of the pains - hip, pelvic, heart burn, etc. I'd say heating pad, but knowing that I should be using one myself and just can't because of the heat outside makes me not want to suggest it for you LOL I also think if you can go swimming, just float and slowly move your body around to re-align things that are out of whack helps too.

I'm only at 26 weeks, but I've noticed this trend, as well - I'll go through a painful week or two, and then I'll be fairly comfortable and flexible again.
I gotta say, though: I pulled my back last week, and it was AWFUL. It's hard enough to have so little mobility because of my ever-expanding belly, but to add back pain on top of that, it was rough. My chiropractor helped so much - I was feeling 100% better in a day or two. A good chiropractor is worth his or her weight in gold.
