I ordered a cloth diaper trial from Jillian's Drawers on Friday and have been compulsively tracking it since We're finally switching to cloth at 8 months-- it took a while to convince the husband to get on board, though continually finding little gel balls all over the baby no matter how often we changed him/a persistent diaper rash finally helped push him over the edge.
I just had to share how excited I am to start CDing with someone-- my RL mom friends wouldn't get why this is so exciting. Most of them think I'm a little crazy for switching at this point, anyway.
Re: Can't wait to start
It's never too late :-) We did not switch until DS1 was about 14 months.
That's what I thought-- we have another 2 years, probably, in diapers before we can really start potty training! (I know girls often start earlier, but all the boys in my family-- and my older son-- really weren't ready until nearly 3.)
My mother thinks I'm crazy-- she CDed everyone but my younger sister and I, and remembers it being a horrifying amount of work. I keep telling her a lot has changed.
