Convertible car seat recs

Hi -

DS has outgrown his infant carseat. We have the Evenflo Titan Elite, but it doesn't fit in my car rear-facing. DH tried to install it and said the straps don't reach far enough. It only fits forward facing, which is how I guess we determined that it "fit" in my car when we got it a year ago, not realizing at the time how long DS should remain rear-facing. Does anyone have recommendations for a convertible car seat that would fit well in a smaller car? It's a Kia Spectra if that matters.

 TIA!

  • We have another one of the Evenflo convertible car seats. From what we saw in the store, they are all about the same size. I drive a Toyota Echo, which is pretty small, and there is no way for anyone to sit in the front passenger seat when the car seat is in. It is something that we have unfortunately had to just go with. If DH and I are in my car with C there, then one of us sits in the back with C.

  • We have the first years c670 and it fits in my prius, which I wouldn't say is a big car.

  • We have a Britax Boulevard, which looks enormous. However, we had to rent a car a couple weeks back as our SUV was in the shop. We got a Mitsubishi Lancer, which isn't considered compact, but is a smaller car, and the seat fit in it with a TON of room, so I'd even say it would fit comfortably into a smaller car.
