Apparently my baby isn't getting anything from me. I have had her weighed before and after twice, and no difference. I pump and supplement b/c I do not produce enough. The latch looks fine, but her tongue is not doing what it needs to do, thus no milk. Taking her to a speech therapist to work on the tongue issue. This has been such a long process, but I'm dedicated.
I pump around 1-1.75 oz for the first for the day. After that is almost nothing. I'm super disappointed. Not giving up, but sad that not even domperidone did the trick. I was taking More Milk special blend, but no luck. I am now taking fenugreek and I think it's helping a little. My LC said she would recommend other herbs that are hard to find if I kept upping the dosage of fenugreek and don't get the amount needed to feed baby.
Anyone else with a low low supply have success with increasing? I am asking my OB for hormone & thyroid testing, but my next appointment is on the 27th. I want to be prepared with a list when I go. All suggestions are welcome. I do know to pump every two hours and keep my water intake up (70-90 oz). I massage my breasts to stimulate & keeping baby near or with me to help with let down.
Herbs in More Milk:
goat?s rue herb, fenugreek seed, blessed thistle herb, nettle herb, fennel seed
Individual mg's not listed, so taking separately might be worth a try.
TIA for advice
Re: Super Low Supply
I have been struggling with low supply and latching issues since day 1 as well. This is what has helped my supply (I am trying *everything*)
Fenugreek: 2 pills/ 3x a day
Blessed Thistle: 2 pills / 3x a day
Oatmeal sprinkled with flax seeds or milled flax for bkfst
"green" drink once or twice a day
Barley water (Google"barley water breastfeeding for recipe")
Raw almonds
Mother's Milk Tea
I have been waking up engorged for the past two days (since adding blessed thistle) So Ithink I am producing more....
Note: fenugreek is actually 3 pills three times a day, but I cant edit the post bc i am phone typing.
hth
also try compressions while pumping (see link below)

I had asuper low supply and that took 13 days for my "milk" to come in (if you call pumping 1/2 oz of milk in, but it was different from the colustrom) I tried everything above and it only helped a little, but at my 6 wk check they found my uterus was still sluggish and i was having lots of bleeding/clots, so they did and u/s and found i had 2 pieces of retained placenta. Once removed my milk supply came up.
