My dog knows!!

One of the first signs I had that I might be pregnant was my dog! He started laying across my belly (and won't stop!!!) a week or so before my BFP. He did this with my first pregnancy, too. Now I am constantly pushing him off of me. Between him and my climbing, super-energetic toddler, I feel like a defensive lineman!! Anyone else have this happen with a pet?

I think my doberman knows, she is the most high strung heavy dog normally she runs and jumps on my stomach, steps on my head rolls all over me, yesterday she came in the house put a paw across my stomach and just staired at me, it was the creepiest thing but really sweet .

I am only 7 weeks but for the last 4 my dog goes to my belly and starts sniffing it like he knows theres something in there it cracks me up This is our first so I am hoping that is a good sign that he will be protective of the LO and not jealous.

My puggle is SUPER snuggly. And she is good and doesn't try to climb all over me.

Our four year old lab/pit mix has been at my feet since week 3/4.  She has also taken to sleeping in our room at the foot of the bed instead of in the living room too and goes where ever I go when I'm home.  She hasn't gotten the memo that my lap doesn't exactly belong to her anymore which is tough, but she is getting used to sitting on my feet which is nice.

We're pretty sure our furbaby knows.  He's usually super energetic and will jump all over me in bed, but for the last few weeks he just lays next to me and cuddles.  He doesn't jump on me when I get home from work either.  He's really being rather sweet!!

Definitely! Our miniature dachshund Daisy was our first "baby" and has always been pretty needy, but every single time from early on in the pregnancy she becomes attached to me...literally.  Follows me EVERYWHERE, stands by me if I'm standing, lays on my lap or smooshed up against me while I'm sitting or laying.  While I don't mind the cuddles when it's winter, the 110+ degree weather combined with hot flashes is not conducive to cuddling.  Still a sweet protective puppy though.

My dog wants constant attention.  He is always following me around and crying for me to pet him.  I think he will be wonderful once the baby comes.  I had my friends over last weekend with their two little boys and he was very gentle and sweet with them.

Recently, my little terripoo has been cuddling with me more so than before.  He's always been an affectionate doggie, but now he seems to be more careful and gentle.  I love it!!

Animals can be so awesome. Mine have been extra cuddly but I wasn't sure if it is because I haven't felt the best and they always want to make me feel better then.

I think my dog might know too - she has put her head on my belly a few times, but she is following me everywhere. But the biggest thing is she doesn't let people get to close to me when I am unaware. We were away for the weekend at a friends and everytime someone tried to come close to the door she barked and barked keeping people at a distance.

 Maybe she doesn't know but it's nice to feel protected by her.

My beagle cross has been mopey and giving me a lot of sad face. Poor thing.

My yorkie has been extra sweet with me too. She's been my little shadow and goes wherever I go. I get the feeling she'll be really protective like she is of her human parents
