DS is a very tall baby and we were usually nursing in the football hold position but I'm not sure how much longer he's going to fit! I started almost exclusively with the cross cradle but it started to cause nipple pain and I think I'm over that now but I don't think DS will still completely fit sideways on the boppy/my brest friend. What position do you nurse your bigger babies in? Do you continue to use the boppy/my brest friend pillows and how?

Do DDs really count as smaller boobs? :P You have some very well endowed friends!
These girls are still small enough I have never feared crushing or smothering my baby. Trust me, boobs come a LOT bigger.

Duuuuude, I was thinking the same thing! (C cup here, even while BFing!)
Anyway, I ditched the pillow pretty early on. As your baby gets older, it'll be much easier to just do without it. We nurse in cradle hold and it still works great.
You've got time! We are still rocking the football hold at 7 months! That's the only way he's ever nursed. I started it because of a csection and now he's not liking the idea of change. He just puts his feet up on the back of the couch! We never used a nursing pillow. I have a boppy and didn't like it; we just use a regular bed pillow.
Also, DD is a wish and dream right now. I miss my "small" DD's! I'm at an F/G!
I never loved the boppy. DD used to slide in-between it and my belly and it was floppy and awkward. We loved the brest friend!
Have you tried the side-lying position? I feel like that position has helped enable us to nurse in all kinds of crazy positions.
