nbr: electronic To-Do list (to do list app)

Do you write to do lists for person or work use?

If so - Do you do them on your phone? Your computer?

Do you use a special app? Do  you go as far as color coding or reminders?

tell me about your todo lists. Id love to organize all my todo's ;)

Re: nbr: electronic To-Do list (to do list app)

  • I recently started using Cozi.com  You can use it online and there is an app for it, you can set it up with a family calendar, assign everyone different colors. You can also set it up to email or text different people about the appointment...so I inut my mom's and MILs phone numbers so I can have it text them about the appointment if it pertains to them.
  • Loading the player...
  • Oh and duh! It has a to do list where you can make to do lists for each person in the family....I love that I can make a to do list for me and for Dan.  And it has a shopping list etc.

I got the free app, I'm not really sure what the difference is between the free app adn the $5.99 ...but the free one works well for me.

  • DH uses something called Omnifocus. I call it his other wife... the one who nags him with the honey do list cause I'm not good at that. It works. As long as I don't have to do it, I'm happy!

Apparently it does everything from color coding to alarms, etc.

As for me, I use an old fashioned white board and white board marker. If I need a list for shopping, I'll type it up but as I run out of things, I write it on the board. I also use Google Calendar to schedule stuff out and then write what is going on that week on my white board. Yeah, yeah, call me old school. I'm a visual person.

  • I just e-mail myself a to-do list and sometimes I CC my DH.

If you have an iphone with a calendar what if you just put stuff on your calendar and have it repeat daily or weekly until you get it done then you could just remove it. (I believe you can also sync it with your laptop too.)

  • I have one I use that I think is just OK: it's called Zenbe. It has both a web version and an iphone app. You can sync b/w the two.

There are no color coding, and the app is pretty simple.

I have a couple of ToDO lists: one is my Todo's, then I have shopping lists for each of the stores I go to (Target, Groceries, BRU and Costco). I also have a "gifts", "movies", and "packing" lists, that I use to remind myself what to get for others/see/need to pack.

S uses Remember the Milk. It also has a website and an iphone app. I tried it and didn't like the interface, but he digs it.

  • I use toodledo.com - there is also an iphone app, I use both, and it also sends the items as events to my ical on their due date.

My husband uses rememberthemilk.com - there is also an iphone app but i think you have to pay $25/year to use it. He loves it and has been using it for 5 or so years. Every morning he gets a text and an email with reminders of the events due that day.
