K about pooped her pants...

when we went and interview a new babysitter today and her dogs greeted us at the door. They where the same sizes as our dogs and they didn't jump or even bark at her and she has never ever had an issue with animals. She was freaking out, screaming and clinging on to my shirt for dear life. So I thought maybe it was this lady's dogs but when we got home she was freaking out with our dogs. She was fine with them this morning and they have never ever snapped or even barked at her. WTH? IDK what to do?

  • Oh no!!  I'm sure it's nothing...Elsa does to same thing to my sister's cat.  She's usually cool with her (most of the time she doesn't even notice her) but every now and then she'll have a fit when the cat comes near her.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it!  Hopefully your LO was just having an off day.  :)

  • griffins been fine with our 2 dogs and when we go to my parents house hes been ok with their 2 dogs too.

last week at my parents house one of their dogs started angrily barking at something outside and it scared the crap out of griff and he was terrified of both dogs the whole visit.  when we got home he was fine with our dogs and was fine with my parents dogs the next visit.

i think the sitters dogs just scared her and most likely she'll be fine the next time she sees them.  hopefully they greet her more calmly though.

eta-  oops, sorry, i misread.  i thought the sitters dogs greeted you by barking and jumping.  well, maybe you should expose her to other pets and see what she does?
