I am about 4.5-5 weeks pregnant and my u/s isn't for another 3 weeks...I've noticed some uterine cramping (like before a period would start)...it isn't severe, but I don't think I'd say its mild either. It isn't constant...kinda intermittent, and tends to happen when I get up or sit down, or urinate. I haven't had any bleeding...but once or twice I have had a light pinkish or beigeish discharge when I wipe (sorry TMI, lol!)
Is this normal? I'm so scared this means I'm going to miscarry...has anyone else had these symptoms?
Re: A little nervous...anyone experiencing these symptoms?
I didn't POAS until my period was over a week late cause I was having cramping like I was just about to get my period. Eventually it stopped, around 6 weeks or so, only to start up again at 10 weeks give or take. Now I get sharp cramps if I move wrong or stretch too much. I just had an U/S two days ago and all is well with the baby. There is a lot of moving and stretching going on, so some discomfort is normal. Also, a little implantation bleeding around 4-4.5 weeks can be normal.
Take it easy and be sure to drink lots of water, but unless you see bright red blood, I really wouldn't worry about it. If you need the reassurance, though, call your doc. That's why you pay him the big bucks!

Thank you for asking this question. I am 5w5d and I too have had cramping this past week, not mild but not severe either, and off and on. When I went for my 2nd BETA on Wednesday, I asked and she said it was completely normal, that most feel as if they are getting their period. I bought some Tylenol and have only had to take it once. It's definetly enough to make me nervous, but after asking my Dr and reading so much on multiple boards, it is very, very common. Just the uterus growing
for our precious little one!
